Second installment finished! :)

In addition to the quilt in my last post, I was asked to make a girl baby quilt.
This is what I came up with. They are exactly the same as far as dimension....5" squares, 6 squares x 8 squares with a 3" border.
I hope the recipient will find this one acceptable as well! :)

However, it was a solemn weekend at our place.
My good ol' sewing machine gave out just as I was putting the finishing touches on this quilt.
It was a sad day.
I suppose it will be getting a much needed rest as I take it to the repair shop.
I do believe it is still under warranty....(fingers crossed)
If it isn't, I really don't know what I will do with myself.
Seriously. ;)

I love your quilts! They make me happy just to look at. I am sure that whoever is lucky enough to have this one will cherish it. I hope that your sewing machine has a speedy recovery. Your fabric will be waiting impatiently to be displayed so proudly. Love and miss you, Melanie

So sad to hear about your machine. You can borrow my ancient, very basic (Did I mention very basic) one in the mean time. Or Trisha Willard has a 2nd one that she doesn't use. BUT, we will be optimistic that it will be under warranty.

The quilt is gorgeous!!!! The colors are fabulous and I love how the flowers seem to pop out of it.
Great job!!!
