Something strange.

I decided at the last minute to go with Craig to a track meet in Flagstaff, AZ. I was reluctant to go for many reasons, (track meets are boring if you are a spectator NOT watching an athlete, I don't really get to see Craig as he is coaching the whole time, and I would be with about 50 college students that can get a little annoying after a while, especially while on a 5 hour bus ride.) but decided to go anyway. Can you tell I just need to get out of my house?! :) Well, Flagstaff is at a much higher elevation than Tucson and they actually get some snow here. Not much, but it covers the ground and stays around for a little bit. Now, I haven't seen snow in about 3 years and haven't missed it. Nope. Not even one little bit. But here's the thing. Something strange has occurred. I feel cold. I didn't think it would ever be possible again. But it's true. I am freezing. And it feels gooooooood. I have been sweating my "you know what" off for far too long. I am purposely leaving my jacket off just so I can keep experiencing this strange phenomenon. Maybe, just maybe, I'll even get goosebumps.

Have fun! When we were there last week my boys asked me to take photos of them playing in the pile of snow outside of Arby's - they just don't see snow much so they quickly ate and then went back outside to play!

Well if cold is what you want come for a visit!!!! LOL

Actually we are having a heat wave this weekend as it is near $0 degrees. The snow is melting a bit, but still plenty there. LOL.

Love, love, love this post! It made my day. I would so love to be cold again too. I'm in So. Calif. and although I normally dread rainy weather, we are expecting some heavy storms next week and you know what...I can't wait. I want to be "chilled" enough to put on a sweatshirt. My hubby and 3 sons think I am nuts when I tell them I am hot and it's 60* outside. This too shall pass. Enjoy your cold, even if it is temporary. Thanks for the charming post :)

Ha Ha Ha! I truly miss the cold and the snow and can't WAIT to go back. (lived in Flagstaff for 7 years). Not somewhere terribly cold like North Dakota or Minnesota, but just someplace with 4 seasons- Flagstaff, southern Wyoming, Colorado, nothern New Mexico... somewhere on the Mogollon rim would be nice. Enjoy your time in pine country- doesn't it smell oh so good?

Hi JoAnne, thanks for finding my blog and becoming a follower. One of the nice things about living in Oklahoma is being in the center of it all. We get to experience the - degree temps and the triple digit temps all in one year! =]

Have a wonderful week~

We love Flagstaff and don't get there all too often. Somehow it was easier when I lived in Gilbert and it was two hours closer. We missed Ragan at YW and church (as well as you, of course) this past week. Hopefully we will see her this week!!!!
