Our Missionary

I have recently received some emails from some blogging friends that have asked how Mark is doing in Uganda.I really do appreciate all the support and prayers that we receive in his behalf! :) I thought I would do a little update here on the old blog to let everyone know how he is doing. Mark is doing very well so far. He seems to be having fun and working hard. He loves the people that he has met. He does feel a little strange being one of only a few white people sometimes, but the African people are very kind. He said that they will listen politely to him even though they don't want to. (I had a giggle about that!) He likes his companion, Elder McRae from California very much. Together they have eaten some strange things.....grasshoppers, ants, entire chickens...yes, innards and all. They walk about 20 miles a day. No cars or bikes for them! :) Here are some cute pictures...... Thank you again for all your kind words and prayers of support. May you all be blessed.....

LOL!!! I love missionaries! We have had three of our own. I love Elder Carters "sweet" ties! It is always amazing to me that the Lord sends out 19 year olds to do this great work! Fun pictures. Great Post!

Thanks Jo-Anne. I have been wondering how Mark is doing. That is some interesting stuff he has had to consume. Glad it isn't me!

Hi Jo-Anne,

Thanks for being a follower of my blog. I see you have a missionary also! I have a son who entered the MTC on Sept 17th and he is serving in the California Ventura Mission. It is a great blessing being a mother of a missionary. Love your blog!
