Welcome, 2009!

Happy New Year, all my Blogging friends! May 2009 be filled with wonderment and many, many blessings for you all! It's a little strange to think that Christmas is over already. I have felt a little like I missed it this year. I am sure it is because of Mark's leaving so close to the big day! :) We left the tree up for awhile this year. In fact, I took it all down this morning. I am sure my family is wondering what's gotten into me since I am usually putting everything away the day after Christmas. I will miss seeing this tucked in amongst the branches of our tree....... Our little family has enjoyed a relaxing break from all the hustle and bustle of life. We sort of hunkered down here and didn't leave the house for a few days. Craig enjoyed several football games on TV and I sewed to my hearts content. We also ate ourselves silly. I am quite certain my calorie intake numbers in the millions! (Darn that caramel corn!!!) Sweet Macy, our Labrador lap dog, snuggled with Craig during a football game.
She was so fast asleep here that she was snoring. I do believe we have the worlds most spoiled dogs.
Well, I for one, am looking forward to 2009.....I am anxious to see what it has in store for the Carter Clan.
May we keep the spirit of Christmas in our hearts throughout the year.
Best wishes to you all!

Thank you so much for the good wishes. I hope 2009 meets all your expectations. I, too, am looking forward to the new year. This winter is so dreary--no beautiful sun on crisp, snowy lawns. Just overcast, rain and ice. No wonder so many people get cabin fever--they are sun deprived!
I know what you mean about the calories. Seems like everybody has some tantalizingly delicious food to share and it is rude to say NO! I am as guilty as anybody else about that.....

Oh I love the little missionary ornament and the photo of Craig with your dog is precious. :) Wishing you a wonderful Sabbath day! We're off to 8 am church and can you believe we're all ready 45 minutes early - lol - sure to be a one time thing. :)

loved those pictures of your "puppy" with Craig. My dad has a 45 pound "puppy" German Shorthair just like that. She climbs in my dad's lap like she is just a baby. Too funny!
