Unconditional Love

Did you know that animals do not have the capability of holding a grudge or harboring resentment? Did you know that having an animal can help reduce stress and lower your blood pressure? Animals have the ability to give love unconditionally. No matter what your mood is, they always love you. Meet Rusty. Rusty is also known as Fatty McFat Cat. He is the softest and most gentle cat you will ever meet. Always quick to offer his tummy for a rub, Rusty loves everyone. And I mean everyone. This is Maggie. Maggie is the sweetest dog. Never a harsh bark comes out of her mouth. She always has a kiss for you. She is a brilliant dog, with a large repertoire of tricks.
Meet Macy, daughter of Maggie. She is a beauty. A bit on the nervous side, but quick to warm up to you....especially if you give her a treat. And if you ever need a cuddle, she's your gal.
This is Sunshine, the mother of Rusty. Little miss Sunshine is very shy. We believe it is a result of her losing her way home after a long walk-about. She was gone for two and a half years before finding her way back to us. We are thankful she did. Makenzie prayed every night for her to come home.....you can't tell me that prayers aren't answered.
And, last but not least, this is Rudy. Despite his Halloween costume, this old boy is no angel. In fact, when you're not looking, he goes straight for the garbage can. He has, however been able to squeeze a lot of love for us into his almost 14 years. And, in turn, we have given it back to him. He also loves everybody. Just sit by him on the couch and you'll see...he will lay his head on your lap and let you stroke his ears.
I am so thankful for their example of unconditional love. It helps me better understand the kind of love our Heavenly Father has for us.
Now, if I could only think of a way to harness the energy of dog poop.......
:)

How funny I just posted about being grateful for our pets. We lost our dog a year ago, and seeing all your pictures is making me wistful for a dog.

Oh, how cute...they are great aren't they? I don't know what I'd do without Buster, such a sweetheart.
Thanks for your comment on my blog...Buster was great for comforting me:0

I love your pets...they are so sweet! I would love to own a Lab but due to my husband being highly allergic to them we will settle for our mini-poodle. She is the best dog that we could ever ask for. She has never bit anyone, does not growl and is the most loving dog ever. You said it all about them...they have so much LOVE to give and are never mad at you. They are there to greet you every time you come home with so much excitement. I would have a house full of dogs if I could but due to hubby's health we are limited. But I sure do love my baby girl. She knows how to win our hearts :)

I just have to agree. In fact, our dog is the FIRST to greet me when I get home. She never licks me because she knows that I don't like it, but I get a good tail wag!! Yea--that dog poop thing---wish I could invent something...LOL!!! I went to a quilt group tonight and had to show off your wonderful wall-hanging. They all LOVED it as much as I do. Thanks again. Julie

People who make silly comments about us because we have so many dogs are just that-silly. They know nothing about unconditional love. Your pets are great. I could love them, too.
