In through the nose.....out through the mouth.

That's my mantra lately. Things aren't THAT crazy, but it seems I just can't juggle things the way I used to! :) So, when that happens, I try to remind myself of the things in my life that matter. Here are a few things..... This is our old doggy, Rudy. We got him when he was just a wee little puppy about 13 years ago. He was the cutest thing with the biggest, floppiest ears we had ever seen. He has been a good dog (for the most part) and we know that his life will not last too much longer. So, we let him do just about whatever he wants. He has developed a large sense of entitlement because of it. Consequently, this is how he spends most of his days....... Yep, on the couch. He sprawls out like he owns the joint and well, we just let him. Occasionally we scoot him over so we can sit down, too, but usually, he monopolizes the big couch. Here he is on the smaller couch.....he is eyeing the bigger one, ready to move, should the opportunity present itself!

This is what I found one morning as I was putting the dogs outside before preschool. The old boy is sound asleep in our bed. It was on Craig's side, so I just let him sleep...(tee, hee!!) He was still in this position after preschool was over.

(***Don't despair, the sheets were changed afterward and the couches get a regular and thorough cleaning and vacuuming) The kids like to have their picture taken when they are "all purtied up" for church. This one is take #3. Scroll down to find out why.......

What a bunch of goobers!!! haha!
We are getting all the necessary things done for Marks mission. There's A LOT to do! We just received his passport and now have to get all of his shots before we can apply for his visa. He has done a little shopping for the clothing he needs but is only about half way done.
Ragan is going strong into her volleyball season. She was moved up to the JV team and is now starting. She is the only freshman on the JV team. Sometimes her age and inexperience shows, but all in all, she is having success. That makes me really happy. She is having her fall break from school right now, but still has practice and games. Yesterday I had to drive to and from her school THREE TIMES! It's not just around the corner, either! But it is so fun to watch her play.
Mak is working so much that I hardly ever see her anymore. Then, when she gets home, she if off again to go shopping or to Justin's house or somewhere. She even babysat for a family in our ward this week because Ragan had a game...:) How sweet she is! I have to resist the urge to ask her to take a day off so I can spend it with her.
Craig has been home this week, but leaving again tomorrow morning. Someday I will get to go on some of these recruiting trips with him! He has been so good to help me cut some wood to make a few things for my Etsy shop while he's around.
Cameron has been doing so well. He has found a second job ane we are proud of his willingness to do what ever he needs to do to support himself and his wife. He said the weather in Logan (Utah) is getting cold. I guess it's time to gear up for another long and cold winter, Cam! :)
I have been given a blogging award from my kind and generous friend, Julie. We also did a little swap. I received a table runner AND an adorable Halloween wall hanging from her! I love it! (I will post pictures as soon as I 1. find the camera card that our fat cat, Rusty knocked off the desk and is no where to be found AND/OR 2. buy a new camera card)
With this award however, I am supposed to share 6 things about myself, so here goes.....
1. I hate wearing a bra. But, I do....most days, anyway.
2. I have tried to instill in my daughters a 5-minute beauty regimen. They are doing pretty good with it. I tell them, your make up should not take more than 5 minutes to put on.
3. I have enough fabric that if I never bought another piece, I would probably never run out.
4. Music is a big part of my life.
5. I used to be a MUCH better cook.
6. If I had the money, I would have a tummy tuck in a New York minute. That tummy goo has been hanging around (literally) for far too long!!
Happy day, everyone!

I love the title of your post today. I had one of those afternoons! LOL

Love the kids all purtied up! What fun!! My Jen is laid off from work so I had the pleasure of her company a few times this week. Today we went to the orchard and made pies. I hope you and Mac get some time soon.

Don't tell Mak, but she really looks like you. Regan has grown so much and really is a beautiful girl, and well Mark has always been a cutie in my book.

I so understand the dog thinking he/she owns the place. Our dog does the same--even sleep in the bed--on my hubby' side, of course. I hope you can find your camera card--those aren't that cheap to buy another one. I enjoyed reading about you. Music is a big part of my life, too. Your kids are great!! Have a great day. Julie

Your kids are gorgeous! You must be so proud of them.
We have 9 little mini-dachshunds and everyone of them thinks of herself as privileged. They all demand personal time everyday but are so loving and affectionate. I wouldn't give them up for any reason....

Sounds like you're having a whole lot of normal, crazy life! Fun pics -- Love the one of the dog in bed -- too cute!!! (And if I could have my sweet old dog back, I'd let her sleep there in a minute!)
