More happy mail!

In addition to my lovely new pincushion package that arrived Saturday evening, I received a package from Kim (Bitty Bits and Pieces). She had a fun give away recently and I won this wonderful quilt pattern. Kim designed this pattern. I am always so impressed by the abilities of others! I love this pattern and can't wait to get cracking on it! She also included some little 2" fabric charms and a fun pencil from her Quilt Shop Hop that I enjoyed reading about so much. Thank you so much Kim! I just love them! Finally, I wanted to include this picture.... (However, if Ragan knew I posted this, she will be mad....so mum's the word....) I was able to get some sewing done before Mark got sick. This is one of the skirts from the vintage patterns. She loved the skirt until she saw herself in this picture. She says she looks pregnant....Spare me, I say....If she looks pregnant, then I look like I ought to be going into labor any minute! Anyway, it was an easy skirt to make. That is, easy once I got the hang of folding and pinning all the soft pleats. I will admit, that at first, I was cussing like a truck driver. Under my breath, that is....well, sort of...:) I have finished the straight skirts from the other pattern as well. I haven't sewn a thing since Mark got sick. But now that he is feeling better, things might change. He finally is eating some solid foods. He likes oatmeal and was even able to get a little chicken down yesterday. I expect he will be back to normal very soon.

That is a cute skirt and it does NOT make her look pregnant!!!! lol

I'm glad to hear that Mark is able to eat some solids. Sounds like he is making progress.

Love that pattern. I wish I could quilt.

You daughter looks beautiful. Tell her she did a great job picking the fabric and the sweater to go with it.

That skirt is darling. Let's see, I will take two--one for the 12 year old and one for the 15 year old...=). I love the pattern you won. Happy sewing. Make sure you show us when you get it finished. Glad your son is eating some solid foods. Hang in there. Have a great day. Julie

Thanks for the shout out and I'm glad you liked the pattern. I'll probably showcase some of my other patterns when I get around to it. I have a really cute one I did for Christmas and Thanksgiving.

WOW! If Ragan is your daughter and Mark is your son you must have had them when you were 10!

I see the family pic but it won't let me click on it to get a better view. The pic of you and your husband make you look about 28 (?) and him early 30s. If you are 25 and those are your siblings than I am REALLY embarressed LOL!

Cute skirt! You're so funny -- and I agree -- if she looks pg then I'm having twins LOL!
