We aren't in Utah anymore......

We are in our 16Th month here in Arizona. I thought I might share a few things I've learned since living here.
All the plants are poky
Most of the bugs are poisonous
Coyotes make a strange and disturbing sound once they've secured their dinner
Coyotes eat cats
My cats are strictly inside cats now
Wild pigs (javalina) are indigenous to our area
Even baby javalina are cute
Mother javalina fiercely defend their young
The weather during the winter months is absolutely glorious
I hardly ever think about snow anymore
I don't miss snow
Arizona is very void of color
Because of the lack of color, people paint the inside of their houses with very bold colors
The sunsets are so beautiful. They defy description
The summer months are so hot that you are certain Hell is around the corner
The humidity during monsoon season makes you sweat in places you can't begin to imagine
A monsoon is a powerful force of nature....especially if you are driving in it
Spanish is a good second language to know
You can plant tomatoes in March
Tattoo/piercing shops are big business here
We miss our family and friends. We send our love and best wishes!

Jo-Anne,

I know that your posting is still new...but I love reading it everyday. You take a different approach then most and I love how refreshing it is!

Gorgeous photographs! Were they taken outside your home?

Hey! Thanks for leaving a comment. Colby was talking about you the other day and wishes he could go back. It's nice to know you are still alive.
