a good weekend.

It probably seems strange to some that I'm writing about a great weekend when we are already here at Tuesday.....*sigh* I know, I know....Craig was home this weekend which a delightful change in the routine. We were able to clean the garage and get many of the other stuff done around the house that needed doing. I was so glad to have his help. Spraying all those frigging weeds was much more fun when we did it together! :)

In any event, I would like to share one of the things I finished up.
I made a little quilt....or I suppose it could be a large table runner.

My "free spirited" sewing can be looked at as a curse or a blessing!

I have been working on a few projects but this is my only sewing finish. I finished piecing 2 other quilt tops as well, but only can declare them as finished when they are....well, finished! :) This fabric came from a charm pack that I had had for a while. I got the charm pack for a good deal but I wasn't ever really sold on the colors. I finally decided to do something with it.

I would like to thank Julie for her pattern that she shared with us. I used it, but added my own little twist. (there goes that "free spirit again!)
Oh the wrinkly goodness! My favorite part is taking it out of the dryer.

A close up shot.....

Bless all of you free spirits out there! :)
