A Fathers gift

I just wanted to share with you a little something that Craig made for each of the girls.
He made each of them a chest. It's very deep and can hold a lot of "stuff". This is the one he made for Ragan, but since her room is very  messy  crowded at the moment, its home for now is in the family room
(I am not so sure what that shiney bit is on the front....I will be investigating that immediatly)
It makes me happy that they will be able to take these with them when they get married.
I hope they both will always remember how special they are and loved they are by their Dad.

You should see my windows.......but no, I don't want you too! LOL If I ever get to create my own world.....I hope we don't have to have flies!!!!!.....or mice! :-)
Good luck on the rest of your blinds.
Happy Groundhogs day.

How wonderful. Do you call them Hope Chests around there? We used to call them that, but I don't know if anyone calls them that anymore. These will always be precious to your daughters. I know what you mean about the dust in the desert. Having grass has helped, but there's only so much you can do. I've lived in the desert for 20 years now, and I still don't love it. I did grow up by the beach though, so I guess I was a bit spoiled with that weather.
Blessings,
Marcia

They are lovely. I was given a cedar chest when I was about 18, not by my dad, but by a friend. I still have it and use it and enjoy it. It does create fond memories. I am sure having it made and given to them by their dad will bring them greater joy and when days ahead are tough, hopefully it will put a smile on their faces knowing their Daddy loves them so much!!

These are so precious. My Dad made us kids a blanket box---no where near as nice as this but I have loved that box my whole life. I just recently gave it to one of my granddaughters and it will be precious to our family forever. Your girls will remember--don't worry about that. And I think Craig is a doll for doing this, preserving his love for his children for forever!!!

What a great idea. I wished my Dad knew how to work with wood. So I guess I'll just have Steve make up for it. LOL.

They truly are beautiful. I'm sure your girls will treasure them.

How sweet! I'm sure Craig put tons of love and care into making those boxes. Now the girls will have something special just for them that they will always treasure!
