An Old Fashioned Valentine

A while ago, I remebered that I had some old fashioned Valentine cards that used to be my Grandmas. I really can't remember how I came to have them. She used to send fun little things like this to us when we were little. Maybe I got them that way. I don't rememer.
Anyway, I remember her using things like this in her Book of Rememberence. She wrote her life story in this book and because they didn't have access to cameras like we do now, she used little pictures like these.  See, she must have thought about writing about her babysitting adventures.....

Here is the other side. Sweet isn't it?

I decided to put this in a frame to display for Valentines Day.

It was a simple little project. And given the fact that I can't seem to shake a cold that has been hanging around our house for months, it was nice to get something done.

I hope you are all staying warm and happy. :):):)

I remember my Grandma helping us do projects but she was a simple woman when it came to decorating. My Mom gave me my baby book recently and it is full of treasured memories like this. Food for thought---thanks!
You're a sweetheart!
