Whatcha Working on Wednesday

I started this quilt in February and just barely got it finished. I have to say that it didn't turnout at all like the pattern I was so desperately trying to follow. I was being so careful with my measuring and pressing, but when it came to cutting the fabric strips into blocks, careful as I was, it didn't turn out like I wanted. So, it went together like this and I am just going to pretend that this is the way I wanted it to be!! :):):)I sew with too much of a "free spirit" anyway..... Pop over to Leslie's and see what everyone is working on this week!

I love the quilt. If you hadn't mentioned it not being like the pattern I'd have never known. Great job.

Man, if this isn't how it was supposed to turn out the real thing must have been something out of this world because this totally rocks. I LOVE IT!! Can I hire you to make me one? Just Kidding. I don't think I can afford you.

Seriously, It is amazing!

Well if that is wrong, who needs right! I would never have the patience for something that complicated so I have a lot of respect for quilters. I admire you so for that art. It is gorgeous Jo-anne! Just gorgeous!

It looks wonderful to me. What pattern is it? I don't think I have seen it. I'm impressed you started and finished within a month, especially with all that you have going on. Hugs--Julie

I agree with all the comments. You did a great job and I love it. No one has to know when we make quilt mistakes anyway. Right? Besides a seasoned quilter knows how to fix a mistake and make it look intentional so now you've joined the ranks of a seasoned quilter. :) You're in good company too!

Jo-Anne, it's beautiful! I love the middle of the blocks... little pinwheels!
Have a fantastic evening! It's super springy here today and I just said to my hubby that it feels like summer is right around the corner!

Most of my "quilting" attempts end up like that...not quite what I expected. I try to pick something simple but it just never goes together right and I end up upset. I so want to make a quilt for my bed but I know that's quite a task and I'm afraid to start it! LOL

I love the colors and pattern you picked. Your quilt is very pretty!

Have a great day!
