What to do, What to do.....
Today has been a lazy day for me so far. I hate it when I get like this. I can think of so many things to do but I just mill around the house not really getting anything accomplished. I suppose I don't NEED to do anything at the moment, but I just get to feeling like I need a nap and I dislike that feeling immensely. So, I thought I would fulfill my ABC game challenge. The other day Julie gave me the letter M. I am to come up with 10 things that I love using the letter M.
So here goes..............
1. Marriage. I am so thankful for my marriage to a wonderful man. I consider myself very blessed to be in a relationship with someone who loves me despite my faults. He is the best!
2. Mark and Makenzie. Because they are twins I will use them as one "M". They are used to being lumped together anyway! :) I remember the day we found out I was pregnant with twins....we were both going to school, already had a 2 yr. old and only 21 years old. Craig and I felt overwhelmed, but at the same time so lucky. They have always been such easy to children to raise and such a joy in our home.
3. Music. Music has always been an important part of my life. I remember as a child listen to the people in my life sing....It has always been able to evoke such emotion with me. It truly speaks to my soul. That's why I like to surround myself with good music. (that scream-o stuff that my kids listen to sometimes makes me want to pull my hair out!) With that being said, I think Journey is the greatest rock band that ever existed.
4. Modesty. There is nothing more beautiful to me than a young woman dressed modestly.
5. Manners. I love to hear people use their manners. A simple "please" and "thank you" are such wonderful words.
6. Maggie and Macy. We are animal lovers here at the Carter house. We are blessed to have two of the smartest and best behaved Labradors in the world. Not to mention they are the prettiest! :)
7. Miracles. Need I say more?
8. Missionaries. How can I not include this?!? Our Mark is currently serving a church mission in Uganda. We miss him, but his selfless work is blessing our lives and the lives of many others. We are so proud of him!
9. Mangoes. I loved to eat them before, but I am addicted to them now. We WILL be planting a mango tree in our back yard.
10. The Messiah. I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Christ is the center of our religion. (also known as Mormonism) I am so grateful for His atoning sacrifice, not only for me but for everyone.
That was fun....THANKS JULIE!
I have also included some recent projects and finds.
Once a lady gave me a big garbage bag full of fabric. Inside I found a quilt top of sorts made out of wool. It was all crooked and uneven so I cut it apart.

I thought I would make some penny rugs or something with it. There was so much, I decided to use a bit of it to make some little prim bunnies.
Meet, Flopsy, Mopsy and Cottontail. They are looking a little unsure of themselves being out and about this early in the year, but they will get used to the early spring weather soon enough!
I popped into a thrift store the other day that I rarely go into. It's not that great and the prices are pretty high. However, I had some time to kill before picking up Ragan at school and it was the only one close. Imagine my surprise when I found this beauty!
It's a very large wooden bowl. It was only $5. I was thrilled and snatched it right up!This is the marking on the bottom....is anyone familiar with it?
These are my two wooden bowls side by side. The big one is the newest....it's really big. Like 20" across the top.
I think I know what Craig will be building me next! :)
Have a great day!

J0-Anne~I am so in love with your wooden bowl find!
I don't recognize the makers mark, but that is something that can be checked out online!
That is what I am on the look out for...a nice sized wooden bowl. I just keep finding all of these other things in my search!
Enjoy your weekend!!
What a wonderful list of M's!!
I love the bunnies - they are so cute. I love the button eyes.
I have never seen that insignia - I hope someone in bloglad knows what it means!!
Have a wonderful weekend with all the M's!
I am also doing the ABC challenge, but with Linda, and my letter is also M.:)
Fun to read yours. I love the wool. I went into a DI out in the city last week, and there was a wool piece, maybe three yards of it. It was lt brown, kinda the color of pero with cream in it, any way I touched it a bunch, and walked away still thinking about it, went back to buy it, and it was gone. All gone. Steal deal on your bowl! I love finds like that! I love thrift stores and yard sales and just plain junkin.. I loved the bunnies. And let me guess, a bowl rack? ♥ Lewaina
I love the new look on your blog. Pink and brown is another favorite color combination. Very Cute!!
I'm not sure about the bowls but they'd be great for holding my spinach salad recipe or some fruit.
And, the bunnies are just darling and could be left out all year long!!!
Hoping spring will come soon!
Have a great weekend.
Hugs, Kim
You are truly amazing! You make me feel lazy with all of your cute craft projects.
Those bunnies would fly out of your etsy shop! I love them!
Great use of that wool, my dear!
Another swap...hmmmm... ;)
I'd love to! I'm guessing you'd like that stitcherie done all custom just for you? It's a good size... mine is about 21 1/2" x 22 1'2". Do you like the colors? I have lots of the blue/grey border fabric. Or... whatever you like!
Just say the word...I seem to have some free time this weekend and since I'm already in stitching mode...
"M" suited you very well, Jo-Anne! Go Journey...yeah!
Those bowls are great! That was a great deal! I would have snatched them up too!
Blessings,
Tammy
