I did it.

As you may remember, last month I joined a procrastinators challenge at A Hole in the Basket Primitives. Well, I am happy to report (and quite pleased with myself, actually....) that I have finished the last UFO that was on my list. I made these little needle punches last spring. I couldn't decide what to do with them at the time, so they were shoved into my closet. I decided to make them into some little pillows. Here is my TS candle holder. This is without the handle. Like I mentioned before, I kept the handle just in case I changed my mind and decide to put it back on. And this is just a little something to make you smile. This is our sweet Maggie. She is the best dog. She always has to have "a baby" to carry around in her mouth. Then she snuggles them when she sleeps. Go on...say it with me...."Awwwww"

Love the candle holder, I don't know how many times I've passed them up at GW.

I love them all. I have so many UFO's that a while ago I gave a bunch to DI. Made me feel somewhat better! LOL ♥ Lewaina

Hi Jo-Anne--I love your punch needle projects. I just got a free punch needle in the mail from Create and Decorate--I'm not sure why. I will have to figure out how to use it though. It looks fun. It even came with three cute patterns. Your dog is adorable. I know our family wouldn't be the same without ours. Have a nice day. Julie

I love the pillows, Jo-Anne.

Also, the candle holder was cute. I guess the way it was laying down, I couldn't really see how it was a candle holder, but now I do. I think I do like the handle off the bottom. (Or knob, or hand-hold thing.)

That candle holder turned out great! I like it without the handle...but that great thing is, if you change your mind you can always put it back on! Great idea!!
Love Maggie...she looks like such a sweet dog!

Your dog is so sweet! I love your needle punches. I remember when Felicia bought a kit and so I knew I had to have one. Yea, it's just sitting in a drawer. I don't remember that last time I made something with it!

Jo-Anne,
The needle punch pillows are adorable and I love your made over candle holder :) Great work!

I know totally what you are saying....teachers and others just don't always get it. It's really sad because these people with undiagnosed disorders go through life thinking they're just not that smart or that they're crazy and it's not that at all. Very, very sad!

Jeremy just found out he had ADHD in May, he was 31. Ever since he started school, he has struggled and had problems but nobody seemed to notice. When they did, they said stuff like he wasn't thinking enough, wasn't trying hard enough, didn't want it bad enough. Can you imagine what that did to him?! He's dang lucky he found me, huh? :D And I feel so much better knowing that our poor nephew now has answers and can work on his education and go on and do whatever his heart desires without feeling that he's just not smart enough to go to college!

Have a great day!

I love your blog and have been following it for quite a while. You write some very interesting things. Your "baby" is an identical twin to our "baby", Bailey is 6 yrs. old and has a "baby" of his own. Right now it's a lamby. He rests his chin on it just like your baby. Aren't they soo cute.

Well, I didn't take any challenge but I was inspired to get busy and finish up some projects. BTW- I will never pass up another one of those candle holders!
Your pillows are adorable and I love your dog. We are dog people.
Your sign--homespun-do you think it would look appropriate hanging by my prim ladder with my quilts displayed on it?
