I've lost my Mojo.....

......and it's so sad, really. I have been in a crafting funk all week. I don't know why, but the creative juices have stopped flowing altogether. That's not a good thing since my plan is to have a home made Christmas this year..... I've tried all the usual pick-me-up's......I've flipped through magazines and looked through all my patterns and pictures, but to no avail. I need a magic pill. Does anyone have any Christmas spirit in a bottle they can give me???? And, BOO HOO, I still haven't recieved my ornament from my swap partner......I am thinking I won't be getting one either as she hasn't returned my emails. Okay. Pity party over. ***************************************************************************** On a much more pleasant note, I received some happy mail. Julie and I recently swapped wall hangings. This is what she sent to me. (Sorry--no pictures were taken of the wrapping because I picked up my mail on the way to pick up Ragan at school. There was NO way I could wait until I got home to unwrap it!!) On the outside of the package, this little guy was taped. How cute is he???? I can't wait to hang him on my tree! Imagine my happiness as I unfolded this beauty! It is so spectacular.....and perfect! I know right where I am going to hang it! This picture doesn't even do it justice!
Julie blanket stitched around EVERYTHING. What a patient woman she must be!
Thank you so much, Julie. And the next time I pass through Utah, I will be sure to give you a call! Thanks for the invitation.

Can't help you with the mojo - I'm in a funk too, but if you don't get an ornie, email me your address - and don't object!!!

Jo-Anne,

I'm so sorry you didn't hear from your swap partner! But I AM glad you received your goodies from Julie! She is so gifted with needle and thread! I'm always in awe of her creations! I love the hangings!

And what precious posts below on your daughters and sons! That's the biggest blessing and gift of all!

What beautiful goodies! Julie is a sweetheart!

I know what will pick you up... come to Andrea's and my open houses this weekend or next, what ever works for you! Seriously, I wish you could be here!

I wish your funk hits the road! Those things suck!

Have a great day! Kimberly

What a shame about the ornament swaplessness. So unfair. That's a lovely quilt you received though, bound to cheer you up. I can't think of anything to restore your creative flow I'm afraid, but I'm sure it will re-appear soon. Deadlines generally have that effect, and the 25th December is looming!

I'm very sad you didn't receive your ornament, especially since you were the one to host the swap. That's just not fair. It's fun to see the wall-hanging at your house. I have to confess though--the blanket stitch was done on my sewing machine. It does take time, but not as much as doing it by hand would have. I have done blanket stitch by hand--fun by time-consuming. Hope you're having a great day. Oh, and your post on your sons was great!! Julie

Jo-Anne,
I'm so sorry you didn't recieve an ornament for the swap you had...what a bummer!

The quilt that Julie made is so adorable would love to know how to do that...maybe in January when it's really cold out I'll give it a try:)
