Happy October!

Where did September go? I can't believe it is already October, but I do enjoy the changes that October brings. Here in Arizona, the weather is still in the mid to upper 90's, but seeing the pumpkins in the grocery stores helps me get into the fall spirit. I also love to read about and look at the pictures of the beautiful fall foliage on all of your blogs. I suppose I will have to enjoy the fall colors vicariously through all of you! Something that I enjoy about fall in Arizona is that all the birds that have flown south for the winter have now arrived. This morning when I went outside, I heard the beautiful sound of birds singing. I love it! I also enjoy the fun fall and Halloween curriculum that we do in preschool every year. There are so many fun things to make, do and explore! Sometimes I think I have way more fun than the kids do! Well, today I will be getting out some Halloween decorations. Included in those decorations will be two new items that I received from my sweet blogging friend, Julie. We did a table runner swap a while ago. Look how amazing her stitching is..... Look closer......;) See, I told you!

The log cabin squares on the end are just filled with WONDERFUL fall fabrics!! Not only did she send me a runner, she ALSO sent this fantastic wall hanging! She is so generous!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH, Julie!!!

I can't wait for our next swap!

Jo-Anne, I'm blushing. Thanks for the sweet comments. I'm so glad you enjoyed our swap. I did, too. I'm getting ready for another one...Christmas wall-hanging or something? Hope you're having a wonderful day. Julie

Such lovely decorations.

My kids have been wanting me to decorate for Halloween. (Of course, ours aren't "pretty" like yours, more like scary stuff.) It was just Thursday when it turned too cold to wear shorts to school. In a matter of a day, the weather turned to autumn. Funny how that happens. I love this weather, though. No humidity. I live for days like this.
