Our Dinner Guests

Last night we had the missionaries over for dinner....again. It is always fun to have them over. I tell myself that they come over for my fabulous cooking. But, in my quiet moments I do realize that they come over for the fabulous company of my children. They always play a rousing game of Phase 10 or UNO with them. There is always much laughter and I love to hear it. Here's a picture of us...except Mark, of course, who was there for dinner but had another commitment a little later. (I put up this picture of me realizing that I look like complete crap. I had been sweating buckets during the preparation of dinner and my hair...well, it's just so sad...) Elder Morgan will be returning home tomorrow to Oklahoma. He is on the left. Next to him is Elder Horrocks. I nearly killed him last night by trying to feed him water chestnuts. (he is highly allergic to nuts...which I was aware of....but considered water chestnuts to be a vegetable, not a nut....what WAS I thinking???) He is from Sandy, Utah. They always leave us with a wonderful spiritual message. Such silly kids! There is a distinct possibility that they didn't make it back to their place by their curfew. We may or may not have caused them to be slightly disobedient to a rule or two....the Olympics were on the TV and they may or may not have been standing in the room while Usain Bolt broke a world record in the 200 meter....however, if asked, I will have no comment.

You're so funny (and cute, sweaty and all, I might add!) It's pretty hard to watch or not watch a world record being broken. Sounds like you had a great evening!

Well, we all have a murderous vein--LOL...Seriously though, it looks as if they had a good time with your family and who could fault them wanting to watch a world breaking feat such as that? It was so awesome!

Well, it might be the cooking you know...but you may be right, there are a good few others at your house that those lovely looking boys may want to revisit!!
Love the chinese trophies, lucky you!

Looks like you all had a great time! Is Mark any more excited after these missionaries visited?

Looks like great elders. We have the missionaries over occassionally, but the mission president here only lets them stay one hour--they eat and then give a missionary lesson. We still love to have them come. I love the spirit of enthusiasm they bring to our home. Nice of you to treat them just like your family. I'll bet they love to come to your home.

Sounds Fun!
I am glad you did not kill Elder Horrocks. I did not realize water chesnuts fit under the nut allergy category. Good to know.
