How many years equal Eternity?

Today is our 5001st anniversary. Sometimes it seems like that, anyway. Craig and I met in high school in January 1984. I will never forget the day. Let me begin by saying that Craig's reputation with the ladies was common knowledge. In fact, he had already kissed pretty much all of my friends. But, he was in a grade lower than me and came from another junior high so I knew who he was but had never met him personally. I had been asked to sing in an assembly and had a rehearsal scheduled with the choir teacher the same time Craig was in his choir class. (I guess Mr. Steed felt like his sophomore men's choir class could sit quietly during the rehearsal....) We practiced in the auditorium with the stage lights on so the boys could see me and the teacher, but because the lights were so bright, I couldn't really see any of the boys. I heard a lot of whispering and some laughing from them. It made me a little angry (stupid sophomores!) but we finished up and I went on my way. A few days later, Craig stopped me in the hallway. (Remember Spirit Hall all you Clearfield Falcons?!? haha!)He said something to the effect, "I'll be a little late for dinner tonight, honey." The rest is history. Craig and I were both 16 years old. We have been together ever since. He tells our kids that I saw him that fateful day in the auditorium, and I chased him until he finally gave in to my strenuous pursuit. :) Here is a picture of our first official date. It was a Valentine's dance. The next picture is our engagement picture taken in 1986. Here is a random collage of our lives over the years... (top L-R) Our wedding, Craig and me at the airport awaiting the homecoming of my brother Jay who was returning from a church mission in Wisconsin. I was about 2 weeks from delivering Ragan, (bottom L-R) On a Caribbean cruise, our family with Craig's parents and grandpa back in 1994, and a Polaroid of our little family at a Christmas party at my grandma's house. I was 6 months pregnant with the twins. (top L-R) Here we are snorkeling in Mexico, Craig is singing, "You are so beautiful" to me while we were camping. It was my birthday....I was laughing so hard! (bottom L-R) One of our Disneyland trips, Our temple day in 1992, and Craig and me in 2000. Here is a fun family picture that our kids like to laugh at. They tease Craig about his mullet and his "safety goggles". (1989) This is the first family picture we had taken. Cam was a little over a year. I am so grateful for a wonderful husband who still loves me despite my shortcomings! We have been through a lot together and have quite literally grown up together. So, today as I wish him a Happy Anniversary, clear over in China, I will say that Eternity can last as long as it wants...as long as we're together.

Happy 5001st! LOL That's too funny :)

Today is my 5th wedding anniversary. It seems silly that it's only 5 because we have been together for 10 years total. Some days it seems like I have never had a life other than the one I have with Jer and somedays it seems like I just met him yesterday.

Have a great day!

Is that a mullet??? LOL, business in the front and a party in the back!

You look so different in each one of your photos with all the different hair colors and styles.

That is so funny what he tells your kids too, I think all men must have the same image in their mind of us women dragging them around!

Happy (belated) anniversary. It certainly seems that you two were meant for each other.

I wish you many happy years ahead.
(
PS -- I don't think I realized you had twins.)

Oh my hell..the pics are just killin' me! I have always thought you had "best hair" but who knew it was really Craig with that full on mullet! I just didn't remember that! I am a little offended that the bridesmaids didn't make the blog! Luv Sindy
