Thrifting away.....

Well, it's no secret...if Craig wants to keep his money, he better not let me go to anymore thrift stores. I am seriously like a thrift store junkie. I always find SOMETHING that I cant live without. Here are two pretty little platters that I recently picked up. Now, I realize that they probably just found their way to Goodwill after a long stint at a Chinese restaurant, but the castles were so pretty. Here's a close up... Then, I found this little clock for $1.... such a bargain!!! My sweet blogging friend Lera has made some of the cutest things out of vintage sheets. So, I couldn't resist these little beauties. I am thinking APRONS for these! Finally, (but that's not all.....) This is a queen sheet set and dust ruffle. Cute, huh??? They look brand new and are from the Pottery Barn!

I think you found some great deals-- better than full price any day. I always tell my husband we will retire on the money I save from yard saling and thrift stores---HEEHEEHHE!! Julie

WOW!!!! You made a haul Jo-anne. Those pottery Barn sheets were not cheap when they were first bought. I love the clock too. You made laugh about the Chinese restaurant plates! I would have never thought about that.

Oh, what fun!!!!

I have a little clock very similar to that. I think the face is a little different and the molding. But same style and shape. And color :-)

Great sheets, too! I can't wait to see the aprons!

I so like that clock-what a find! I like thrift stores too and in ohio we have plenty. I'm lucky that my husband likes them just as much and even looks out for things I may like. The twins have gotten used to tagging along and we have found some great board games for them so they don't complain too much!! :O)

I love those sheets - and the clock - and the plates OH - everything you got is fantastic. I so need to get out to the thrift stores! Maybe that is what I will need to do in a few weeks when my last is off to kindergarten and I will "have all this free time on my hands" LOL...

Sometimes I wish for a little time to go to thrift stores...and it never seems to happen! Maybe when my kiddos are a little older? I'd love to learn how to make aprons, and I love the fabrics you picked up!

What wonderful finds...I love thrift stores! Those pottery barn sheets were such a great find for you and love the clock, I doubt our TS would have had it for a 1.00 though. The plates are neat too! Have a great day!
