Happy May Day!
We had a sweet little May Day Celebration here at preschool today.
As you all probably know, May Day Celebrations started in England a long, long, time ago. People were so tired of all the rain, snow and cold weather of winter that on the first day of May, everyone, including the king and queen would wake up early and pick bouquets of flowers. The story goes that people would fill baskets with all the flowers and leave them anonymously on the doors of their loved ones.
We made these little flower baskets today for the kids to leave on the doors of those they love.

That's a great story and you got a craft out of it too! Way to go! Now it makes me want to go and buy flowers too! I love fresh flowers!
So cute! I showed Kyra the picture and the story. She was so excited! THanks for the idea.
okay, you must be the favorite preschool teacher in town. So fun.
